Fresh Air Adventure

What You Need:

Hardcovered notebook
Pen or pencil
Camera (optional)
What To Do:
  1. Before beginning your nature exploration, start a family nature notebook. In this book, you can record tops taken, observations made, pictures, etc.
  2. The list below consists of several ideas for walks:
    * Mini walk - look for things smaller than a loonie.
    * Colour walk - search for natural objects in a variety of colours (pink, orange, blue, black, green, purple, yellow, brown, rust, grey, etc.).
    * Senses walk - use your eyes, ears and nose to see, hear and smell a variety of different things. Make a list to see who can identify the most things using each of the senses (touch and taste not recommended).
    * What's new walk - keep track of each new discovery while on the trail
    * In search of ... walk - scavenger hunt theme. Make a list of things to find as you walk.

  3. * Shutterbug walk - take a disposable camera with you, to take pictures of the adventure.
    * Make up your own unique family walks!

BE CAREFUL! Agree on what to do if someone gets lost (blow a whistle, meet somewhere).
