Sights to see in Nova Scotia
Glooscap Trail >
Burntcoat Head
This is an ideal spot to see red Triassic sandstones and conglomerates, some of which show distinctive cross bedding (preserved subaqueous dunes) produced by currents in long-disappeared rivers. The lighthouse has a display of some reptile bones discovered here. Photo by Rob Fensome.
